Women in Boatbuilding add our Faye to their director team
Raybel director Faye Thorley has added a director role at Women in Boat Building CIC to her growing immersion in the maritime world.
Many will know Faye as full of energy and bright ideas for our community work at the wharf. It’s a great appointment and richly deserved for her dedication and downright flair. She has been a huge part of the Raybel story since she first turned up on our market stall to tell us exactly why we needed to employ her straight away on the restoration project!
Now one of our Raybel Charters directors, her experience and interests have grown to cover maritime project management, research and consulting, lecturing, and being a hands-on craftsperson, with a passion for traditional boatbuilding and the preservation of historic vessels.
And she’s also a bi part of our sail cargo work, and is a board member of the international @fairwindscollective supporting the global clean shipping movement.
WIBB said, “We're really excited to be expanding our community structure, and looking forward to Faye's knowledge and expertise to help guide our work.”
Well done Faye!
