The Medway River Pilgrims

A weekend of plenty out on the Estuary, and a beautiful opportunity to work with our wonderful friends and Thames Barge partners @tillerandwheel for the From Source to Sea - 9 Day River Medway Pilgrimage led by @formedway.

We were part of a flotilla of 3 community barges (Raybel, Edith May & Lady Daphne) carrying the Medway River pilgrims on their last stretch to make water blessings at the confluence with the Thames

It was an example of how two beautiful worlds collide in harmony, with a shared view of reawakening our relationship to our local rivers and Estuaries.

We were touched by the whole experience, in more ways than one, and felt honoured to hold the space for of such a magical ceremony and make offerings to our river gods.

A big thanks to the event organisers on all sides and vessel crew across the flotilla for what became a smooth sailing experience. Here’s to more adventures together.
