Join volunteers working on the Fish of the Medway project, monitoring fish in salt marshes across the Medway estuary.

The training day will include presentations on why the surveys are carried out, where and how surveying takes place. We will also include demonstrations of the nets and tools used to conduct the surveys.
Morning session - about the project, sampling methods and safety factors.
Afternoon session - practice with nets and equipment.
Practical clothing required and wellies recommended for the afternoon.
Please bring your own lunch as it is not provided.
Please be aware that you need to be comfortable handling live fish while surveying.
All volunteers will be provided chest waders but should be fit and able (if you are able to climb a style)
Volunteers must be 18 or over.
